Media files can't be played over network unless you install a server program that feeds it to your TV and it is so messy it's not even funny! I gave up on it and will continue to use current media extenders. The Xbox and Ceton Echo nail what needs done. It is an embarrassment to call this thing a SMART TV when it doesn't do anything right. It shows up as unknown so I needed to see the MAC ID. (Also thought the scanner would have done nicely) My router shows a nice list of what's connected, but this isn't named. I setup the router to assign this it's static IP so I'd have less connection issues and my router supports the MAC ID making this process super easy, however I had to take my $700 24MP camera to take a picture of the label on this so I could zoom in and READ the MAC ID.
